NZRL APPOINTS FOOTBALL OPERATIONS MANAGER
New Zealand Rugby League Chief Executive Jim Doyle today
announced that Sash Stosic has been appointed to the position of
Football Operations Manager.
Stosic has recently returned to New Zealand from the UK, where
he held the position of General Manager, Wales Rugby League. Prior
to this he was General Manager of Taranaki Rugby League for some
years.
Doyle said "We are fortunate to be able to employ someone with
Sash's local knowledge combined with experienced gained in a
similar role overseas.
"This is a key role within the organisation with
responsibility for the planning of competitions and tournaments,
tournament logistics, and national events. The quality of
candidates was very high, and we are very pleased to have been able
to appoint someone with current rugby league experience.
"Kevin Bailey, the present incumbent is retiring at the end of
the year and although he won't be leaving us for a few months, he
has been with New Zealand Rugby League for many years and we felt
it was important to fill the position now so that the vast amount
of knowledge he has can be passed on."
Taranaki based Stosic has re-located to Auckland and
starts in the role this week.
