Three new players were inducted into the Legends of League fraternity in 2012.

Colin O'Neil, John Whittaker and Stephen Kearney were all inducted alongside the Wellington Rugby League Centenary celebrations and were also named in the WRL Team of the Century.

O'Neil represented the Kiwis from 1965 - 1971, playing in 21 tests including two World Cups. Whittaker played for the Kiwis from 1970 through to 1982 and took part in four World Cup campaigns, earning 26 test caps, while Kearney, current Kiwis coach & 45 tests, played in two World Cups and won one as coach.

These three additions take the tally to 47 since the Legends of League was introduced in 1995.

The judges for the Legends of League are Don Hammond, Jack Fagan, John Bray, Bernie Wood, Peter Kerridge, John Coffey and Richard Becht.
